This year’s conference, The Evolution of Biological Practice: Celebrating 50 Years with the ASPB, explores the growth of biology as both a science and a profession over the past five decades. Set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, the event honours the milestones, innovations, and individuals that have shaped biological practice in Alberta. From shifting ecological landscapes to evolving regulatory frameworks, we reflect on the legacy of the ASPB while looking ahead to the future of professional biology.

As we reflect on 50 years of excellence in biological practice, we are thrilled to host this milestone conference at the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. This special location highlights the significance of the occasion, offering a stunning setting to celebrate our history and the evolution of our profession. Attendees can look forward to meaningful government updates, insightful industry presentations, and engaging technical discussions—all framed by the beauty and inspiration of Banff National Park.

While premium venues come with added costs, we want our members to know that we have worked diligently to keep registration rates as accessible as possible. We appreciate your continued support as we celebrate five decades of advancing the biological sciences together.
