The Gwich’in Renewable Resources Board (GRRB), based out of Inuvik (NWT), is recruiting for the permanent position of GRRB Species At Risk Biologist.

The GRRB works in cooperation with the Gwich’in people, stakeholders and governments, in accordance with the Gwich’in Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement to effectively protect, conserve, and manage renewable resources in the Gwich’in Settlement Area. It does this in a respectful, transparent, communicative, and inclusive manner, using the best available traditional and scientific knowledge.

This is an exciting role for someone that has a connection to the Gwich’in Settlement Area (GSA) and is interested in the management of the fish, forests & wildlife and their role within the GSA. The GRRB Species At Risk Biologist position helps administer and carry out the Board’s responsibilities for species at risk (SAR), which includes the approval of listings and management plans and/or recovery strategies in accordance with the GRRB consultation policy.
